Foundation eager to continue community engagement
For the last 32 games, there hasn’t been one where the 76 jersey didn’t make an appearance. With a new contract in play, it is one we can expect to see back out there many more times.
Morgan Moses officially signed a 5-year contract extension with the Washington Redskins last Thursday, April 27. Following the deal Moses released his statement regarding his time with the team and in the community,
“I look back at the past three years and being here and just being blessed to play here – and I look back at three years ago where I was at the draft – to be here where I’m one of the first guys in my class to sign a big extension, it just shows you that if you stay blessed and you stay true to your process, anything can happen,” Moses said, via Redskins.com.
For Morgan, staying with the Washington Redskins is more than just field time. With an extension to play for Washington, it also means an extension for the Foundation. Morgan is excited to expand the roots of the Foundation in the Fairfax, Loudon and Richmond communities. In his press release following his contract extension, Morgan noted that he is so glad to be able to remain in the area, too.
“It’s a big deal for me to be here because I have so many things in the community that are working for me and for others here, so to be here and be hands-on with it, it’s going to allow me to do some great things,” Moses stated, via Redskins.com.
Morgan will continue to carry-out his mission to improve and impact student’s lives through motivating them through education. The vision for the Morgan Moses Foundation is to empower young people through learning. The Foundation efforts begin at the elementary level with igniting a passion for learning and continuing through the high school level with homework programs offering 100 students free tutoring through The Princeton Review via tutor.com.
The Morgan Moses Foundation is set to expand its horizon in the near future with even more initiatives and events for students. The impact that Morgan has left on the field mirrors the impact he looks to have on the youth in the surrounding areas.
